Recovery is a long term journey and thus, Foundations Wellness Center offers A to Z treatment and treats each client and their loved ones like members of their own family.
The different phases of treatment at Foundations ensures that this is not a two week or 30 day process. Individuals going through each level of care can remain with us for months following the initial admission into the program. Success in recovery isn’t typically immediate and doesn’t happen overnight. Thus, Foundations works night and day to ensure that their clients stick with the program until “the miracle” happens for them and long-term sobriety is achieved.

My name in Russell Guccio, I am an addict in long term recovery. I battled addiction for almost 15 years. Have lost friends and family to this disease and have been at the brink of death numerous times. I pushed away help for years because I thought I can do this alone. I failed time and time again. I lost everything and everyone in my life... as so many of us do. For me, it took being broken down so badly it was either death or help. Finally I chose help. I surrendered to the process, to the people in recovery...Click here to read the entire article
Needle exchanges are one of the programs started to defer the spread of diseases by injection drug users. It has been widely scrutinized by many saying it’s a way to keep people using drugs. Throughout time if you were sick or in pain you would seek the treatment of a doctor. Over the last roughly 30 years if you were to seek treatment for moderate to severe pain you would be handed opiate painkillers such as Vicodin, Percocet or Oxycontin. Carfentanil is an analogue of the synthetic drug Fentanyl, Analogue meaning that it is similar in appearance and function but differs in origin. Its main use is a sedative for large animals. Zookeepers working with it wear essentially an entire hazmat suit when preparing tranquilizer darts intended to incapacitate an elephant, giraffe or rhinoceros for example. One drop in the eye, nose or even absorbed through the skin can be fatal. When administering it to animals NARCAN (Naloxone) is always kept nearby for emergencies...Click here to read the entire article
Freedom is what recovery is all about. When we were living in active addiction, we were slaves to the disease. We may have had the ability to take control, but the force of addiction is so strong that it made us feel powerless and useless to resist all its temptations. Sammy is one of the many who suffered from the effects of active addiction, went through the program at Foundations Wellness Center and made it out clean and sober on the other side. Let’s give Sammy a warm, heart-felt congratulations and ...Click here to read the entire article
